CHC30108 - CERTIFICATE III IN COMMUNITY SERVICES WORK

This qualification applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services which provide support to individuals and groups.
This level is appropriate for support workers, case workers and client contact officers and generally, these positions:

• Have direct contact with clients

• Identify presenting needs

• Refer to appropriate services and support

51882 - CERTIFICATE IV BUSH AND WESTERN HERBAL MEDICINE
THIS COURSE WAS DEVELOPED TO GIVE ABORIGINAL AND OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLE:
• The support and belief in their own medicines whilst in addition the ability to integrate Western herbal medicine
• Produce a saleable product where it may be marketable to others in the community or to tourists
• To value and keep knowledge in traditional medicine so the knowledge is not lost
• An opportunity for you to be self employed
• An opportunity to acquire a qualification which is recognised Australia wide

• To provide a holistic health care approach to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander community.

• Better understand the poor health problems that are presented within the aboriginal communities.

THIS COURSE IS OFFERED FOR ABORIGINAL &/OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLE TO PROVIDE A RANGE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES FOCUSING ON:
• Rehabilitation and support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability
• Implementing community based activities focusing on mental health, mental illness and psychiatric disability, and
• Mental health promotion work.

HLT 51607 DIPLOMA OF NURSING (ENROLLED/DIVISION 2)
THIS COURSE WAS DEVELOPED TO GIVE ABORIGINAL AND/OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN:
• Nursing to enable registration with Nurses and Midwives Board of WA as Enrolled Nurses
